Auction opens for DSR charitable auction items

The 11th Annual Don Schumacher Racing Open House presented by Pennzoil to benefit Riley Hospital for Children. September 2 will feature its largest and most unique silent auction thanks to friends of DSR and the NHRA drag racing community.

Fans can now log into https://dsr16.auction-bid.org to view all silent auction items and start bidding. Offers must be submitted by 2:30 p.m. ET on Friday via computer or cell phone using technology provided by GiveSmart.com.

And of course, fans can go ‘old school’ and submit bids in person during the open house from 10am to 2:30 pm.

Pennzoil will provide special Open House t-shirts to the first 500 guests attending the free public event at 1681 E. Northfield Drive, Brownsburg, Indiana, located approximately two miles from the Chevrolet Performance US Nationals site.

In addition to the silent auction, visitors to the free event can enjoy one of Indiana’s largest indoor auto shows presented by the Indian Hi-Winders Car Club, Cacklefest and Showdown. autographs with all eight DSR drivers and team owner Don Schumacher.

Bid on a piece of NHRA and racing history from over 80 unique items – with more added daily – ranging from unique wines, restaurant gift certificates, NASCAR and IndyCar tickets, Carlyle tools and Matco, a TIG welder and welder’s helmet and chargers Schumacher Electric Corp. and Red Fuel Powered by Schumacher personal chargers.

The open house auction features a record number of race-related items, most of which are autographed, including:

  • A Scott Kalitta / DHL helmet
  • Unique poster autographed by Alexander Rossi, winner of the NAPA Auto Parts Indy 500;
  • Fire suits from the drivers of Terry Chandler’s Make-A-Wish and Riley Hospital teams, as well as one offered by Tim Wilkerson
  • Race proven car and body parts like windshields, body panels, engine blocks, as well as a variety of NHRA and NASCAR Cup team collectibles (Jeff Gordon, Kasey Kahne and Joey Logano);
  • DSR drivers’ crew shirts, Jeg Coughlin Jr., a Kalitta Motorsports package signed by Connie Kalitta and JR Todd
