Blue Jeans & Bidding now for online auction
ONEIDA – The Blue Jeans & Bidding fundraiser for The Arc Madison Cortland has been moved to an online auction, according to an agency announcement Friday.
“Participants from near and far can relax in their favorite denim in the comfort of their own homes and bid on the silent auction,” read a statement announcing the change. “To register, text BLUEJEANS at 243725 or visit www.bluejeansandbidding.com. “
“Because the holidays will soon be here, the first 50 people who log on receive a chance to win an alcohol “joy basket” in addition to other amazing auction items, “the ad adds.
“A transition to an online format made the most sense, given the current climate around COVID-19,” says Susan Litera, director of development and communications at Arc Madison Cortland. “We are confident that the community will support our now virtual auction. “
The virtual event will now run until Friday, October 22. Bidders can win Quarter Cow and Chest Freezer, Exclusive Golf Outings, Lakeside Vacation Stay, Custom Cuisine, Restaurant Tastings, Spa Tours, Immersive and Adventure Experiences, signature loot, among other items.
For more information, call 315-363-3389 or find the agency on Facebook at @arcofmcny. The event is organized by Builders of The Arc Foundation; a public charity and the fundraising arm of The Arc Madison Cortland. The auction will have a direct impact on people with intellectual and developmental disabilities supported by the agency. The funds will be used to enrich essential programs and services for 1,500 people, their families and the essential workers who support them.
NOTE – An article in Thursday’s edition contained information on when the event was scheduled as an in-person event. This event is no longer scheduled.
Blue Jeans & Bidding is sponsored by an anonymous supporter, Community Bank, NA, Golub Foundation, MVP, One Group and Walmart.
