Go-karts, a climbing wall among Ozzy’s auction items | Regional News from Berks

ONTELAUNEE TWP., Pa. – The Ozzy Family Fun Center in Ontelaunee Township is no longer there, but this weekend you’ll have the chance to return to the center on Route 61 and grab one party at home. All kinds of items will be auctioned.

“I will be selling all of the items that were left over from Ozzy’s Fun Center,” said Les Longenecker, auctioneer.

This Saturday, they can become yours.

“I think there will be a lot of people, have a good day,” said Longenecker.

You will be able to bid in person and online.

“There are registered people from all over the country,” Longenecker said. “You know guys asked me about airports coming in from Texas and local interest. It was, you know, a popular place for kids.”

Longenecker said the center will auction an entire maze, go-karts, a climbing wall, batting cages and even Ozzy memorabilia.

All kinds of items that were once made for fun at the Ozzy Family Fun Center in Berks County will be auctioned off this weekend.

“Some memories of the good old days,” he said. “The kids would come here and have fun.”

This all comes after Ozzy closes. Gene Stork’s snow plow and salt spreader, Stork’s Plows, purchased the building in August.

“We plan to move all of our current operations from Route 183 to Route 61 here,” Stork said.

He said the first step is to auction the items this weekend. The auction will start on Saturday at 11 a.m.
