Local music, food and silent auction items to benefit the Pinckney Library
May 3, 2018
The 5th Annual Pinckney Community Public Library Fundraiser is set. Pinckney in May: Bids, Bites, Beats, and Books is the name of this year’s version of the library’s annual fundraiser.
Music, food and a silent auction filled with items from local and state merchants mark the event. Popular local band, the Midnight Special Band, will perform their brand of classic rock and 70s blues. The Huron River Revivalists and Jazz Rats from Pinckney High School will also perform to benefit the library. Food will be available with local pizzas, while beer and wine will be served at a cash bar. The silent auction includes items such as season passes to the Six Flags theme park, NASCAR tickets to Michigan International Speedway, a wine tasting getaway to Traverse City, and a membership to Waldenwoods Resort from valued at $ 1,300. Participants can also bid on several packages from local merchants, including jewelry, auto service kits, and gift certificates at many locations in the area. Friends of the Library have included an iPad to raffle off. Raffle tickets can be purchased from May 11, until the day of the event, i.e. Saturday May 19.
Entrance to the event is free and guests are required to be 21 years of age or older to attend. For more information and an overview of all the items being auctioned, visit www.pinckneyinmay.weebly.com. (Mk)
