Milton Keynes-based charity celebrates 10 years with online auction – MKFM 106.3FM
In honor of MK Money Lifeline’s 10th anniversary this year, a ten-day online auction will go live on Tuesday, May 10 and end on Friday, May 20.
Items offered to the highest bidders include bespoke packages such as a planned birthday party, dinner at home with waitress service, private art lessons and various baskets.
Many start from as little as £1 and many will increase in £1 increments, so a fantastic opportunity to grab a bargain and help a local charity raise much needed funds. Winners will be contacted by email once the auction is over. The auction is taking place on the Jumblebee website and all lots will be available for preview on Monday 9th May from 6pm on www.jumblebee.co.uk/mkmoneylifeline.
MK Money Lifeline is an independent debt advice charity offering free, confidential and impartial advice to anyone in Milton Keynes who needs it. Their work is driven by the compassion of reaching those in need or underprivileged in the city. They offer face-to-face advice and negotiate with creditors on behalf of clients.
Fundraising and Communications Manager, Erica Stevens says, “We are excited about this fundraising opportunity. Being an online auction means anyone who wants to participate can, regardless of location or other time commitments. We encourage everyone to share this event with family and friends to raise funds for this amazing charity that can truly change lives.”
Erica continues to say: “Debt has no place in Milton Keynes or indeed anywhere. The existence of MK Money Lifeline reflects the serious debt situation locally and in the UK. MKML has freed people from debt since 2012 and they always want to be there to free people from MK for as long as people need their help. Without the kind financial support of donors, the work could not continue”.
Items were graciously donated and pledged by local businesses and individuals. For more information and/or to donate an article, email [email protected]
