North Peace Ride for the Disabled Hosts Online Auction |

Neitz said they hope to raise between $5,000 and $10,000 from the auction.

Many donations have already been received from the community, such as car detailing packages, patio furniture and even helicopter rides.

Soon they will start sending photos and teasers of the items available on their Facebook page.

Neitz says they are still accepting donations and are always looking for corporate or corporate sponsorship.

Since 1984, the association has offered horseback riding to people with disabilities.

“We combine traditional horsemanship instruction with physiotherapy concepts to improve strength, balance and self-esteem for children and adults with physical and developmental delays,” said the Facebook page for association.

“We have not increased our registration fees. It’s a one-time fee of $50 for the entire season which runs from October to the end of April,” Neitz said.

On April 27, North Peace Ride will hold a closing horse show, handing out trophies to their riders for various things throughout the season.

Neitz says everyone in the community is invited to celebrate with the runners. Anyone interested can contact Neitz by phone at 250-262-1847 or by email at [email protected]
