Online auction for Okeanis property on Vouliagmeni beach continues

Hellenic Public Properties SA (ETAD) announced the extension of the electronic open tender for the long-term rental of the Property of Okeanis on the coast of Vouliagmeninear the center of Athens.

ETAD’s decision follows increased interest from Greek and foreign investors in the property and has set a new deadline for the presentation of the necessary documents by Friday, September 30.

The previous deadline was July 28.

ETAD aims to attract investors to modernise, renovate and develop the property into a tourism and/or restaurant business. The duration of the lease is set at 10 years with the possibility of extension for another 10 years, after agreement between ETAD and the selected contractor.

Okeanis is an iconic building set in a prime location on the Vouliagmeni coast and commanding stunning views. Its name is linked to the modern history of the Athenian Riviera.

Designed in the early 1960s, the property is the work of eminent Greek architects Prokopis Vassiliadis, Periklis Sakellariou, Emmanouil Vourekas and their partner NP Hatzimichalis.

The property covers an area of ​​2,725 m² and includes a three-storey building covering 1,127.20 m², which previously served as a beachfront bar-restaurant. The building is Category C based on its energy class certificate .
