A true trophy box in the vintage Cuban world, the Dunhill Don Candido Selección No. 506 is a long-abandoned cigar considered extremely desirable among collectors.

The last online auction of the year for UK retailer C. Gars Ltd. is underway and the auction will close tomorrow. Most of the lots are vintage Cuban cigars.

An early 1980s Dunhill Don Candido Selección No. 506, which had attracted 10 bids at the time of writing, was already fetching £ 7,400 ($ 10,165). The cigars are standard corona gordas, measuring 5 5/8 inches long by 46 gauge rings.

Always an auction favorite, Cuban Davidoffs tend to attract high bids. A box of 25 Davidoff Château Latour (5 5/8 by 42) from 1986 received five auctions, the last one reaching £ 3,100 ($ 4,258). Even older, a box of Dunhill H. Upmann # 205 pre-embargo, 5 1/2 by 42, is on sale for a starting bid of £ 4,000 ($ 5,500).

The cigars are 5 7/8 inches by 58, one of the thickest commercial Cuban cigars ever made.

Not all lots are old. The auction features more recent, high-profile fumes, including a limited edition 1966 Cohiba Majestuosos humidifier from 2016. The box had 15 bids at the time of writing, for £ 12,600 (approx. $ 17,310). ). A box of Hoyo de Monterrey Gran Reserva Double Coronas, which was only rolled three years ago, has a bid of £ 2,500 ($ 3,400).
