Sotheby’s online auction and more things to do this weekend in Hong Kong
From art shopping at Sotheby’s to shoe shopping at Underground pop-up from LOEWE x On, there’s a lot of damage that can be done to your wallet this weekend.
If you are not a Twitter user, there is a great Twitter account named @CraigWeekend who makes a single gif-tweet – Daniel Craig presenting The Weeknd on the SNL music scene — every Friday night with “Ladies and gentlemen, The Weeknd”. Taken out of context, it’s James Bond hosting the weekend every week. Like the best kind of clockwork. In Hong Kong, it’s Saturday morning, which is how I often start my weekends. Now, ladies and gentlemen: your Weekend Dos in Hong Kong.
Another week over. Well done, you:
Course! The luxury-athleisure capsule of LOEWE x On is now at Underground
The capsule collection from LOEWE and On flooded my Instagram feed – and probably yours too. Now maybe you need brand new cast performance sneakers in a sick blue-white gradient. Maybe it’s cool Japanese sashiko stitch print call your name. Maybe you just need a retail-fueled reason to start running again. Whatever your “why”, the LOEWE x On collaboration is now staged at LANDMARK’s Underground. (I spy Bless cold-pressed juice in this fridge, so that might be your reason, too.)

Start a bidding war on Hong Kong art
Well, looks like we’ll be staying a little longer. Might as well dress up those four blank walls with something a little more interesting than white paint. Don’t sit on it, though, you have just four days left to bid on something special at the first edition of Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Online Auction before lots close on March 15. . Maybe this ugly electric ladyland piece, for fans of figurative line art? A Frog King original? And if your walls are currently fully populated, a Monkey Kingdom NFT – the first Asian PFP NFTs to be auctioned at Sotheby’s – won’t take up any physical space.

Is it too late to have quarantine bangs?
If you’re one of those people who’s spent the last few weeks wondering if you could pull off a shaggy ‘do, buy haircut scissors from Carousell “Just” “In” “Case” and resignedly learn how to bleach the YouTube’s overgrown roots, chances are you already lined up for an express cut yesterday as hair salons, surprisingly, reopened. But in case you need a reminder to visit your hairdresser, here’s your sign from the universe.
My apologies to those with overgrown gel nails, though. Nail salons are apparently very different from hair salons. It’s time to learn how to do it yourself.
Sweat it out with free live PURECAST classes from PURE
